It was in high school that I realized my love and talent for art and computers. While attending Salem High in Salem, Virginia, I was accepted into the International Baccalaureate art program to further my art direction. Around this same time, I started designing posters for a friend’s rock band. Reaching graduation in less than a year, I had no idea of which direction to take after school. Starving artist….. or something with computers. Not in love with either idea, a moment of realization set in when discovering graphic design and web design as a profession.

Soon after graduating from The School of Communication Arts in Raleigh, and now ready for the world, I started Jamey Miller Design in Salem, VA while working full time. A few years later business slowed and jobs were increasingly slim to none, so I moved to Atlanta, GA to gain experience.

While living in Atlanta for over 5 years, I had the pleasure of working with several companies large to small, holding titles such as Assistant Marketing Director, Creative Director, and even Vice President. It was in these 5 years that I gained a great deal of experience in design, knowledge of business and marketing, and several other pieces of information along the way.

Now living and working in Charlotte for 4 years as well as nearly 20 years experience, my journey continues and I am excited to see where it takes me.
